Major Electricity Breakdown across the country, Cities plunged into darkness.


 (Sindh Tribune) : Power outages in the country's major power plants Jhelum, Mangla and Tarbela disrupted power in Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 Many cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Quetta, were plunged into darkness due to the breakdown.

 'Sudden break from 50 to 0 caused power breakdown'

 Due to this major breakdown, power supply to Jinnah International Airport has also been suspended.

 Officials of Casco, a power provider in Quetta, said that the main transmission line from Guddu to Quetta was tripped, after which power supply to 30 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, was suspended.
