Judge Waqar Seth, who sentenced Musharraf to death in a high-profile treason case, has died.


 (Sindh Tribune) :  According to a statement issued by the spokesman of Peshawar High Court, Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was suffering from Corona disease. Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was undergoing treatment at Kulsoom International Hospital in Islamabad.

 It may be recalled that Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was the head of the three-member bench which had sentenced former Army Chief and President Pervez Musharraf to death in a serious treason case.

 In a detailed 169-page judgment, a three-judge bench headed by Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth and Justice Shahid Karim had sentenced Musharraf to death, while Justice Nazar Akbar disagreed and acquitted Musharraf of all charges.
