Jang Geo Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman granted bail by SC.

 (Sindh Tribune) : The Supreme Court has granted bail to Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, editor-in-chief of Jang and Geo.

 A three-member bench headed by Justice Mushir Alam and comprising Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed heard Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman's bail plea.

 It may be recalled that on November 3, a two-member bench of the Supreme Court heard the bail plea of ​​Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman.  The case was referred to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the bail hearing was adjourned for a week.

 Case background

 Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman bought 54 kanals of private property in Johar Town area of ​​Lahore in 1986. The NAB summoned him on March 5 justifying this purchase. Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman presented all the documents of the land and also recorded his statement.

 The NAB called again on March 12. Mir Shakeel appeared for questioning and was arrested.
