Indian Supreme Court granted interim bail to Anchor Arnab Goswami in a case of incitement to suicide.


 (Sindh Tribune) :  Recently, the Bombay High Court refused to grant bail to Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, in a case involving the suicide of two people.  Goswami has filed a petition against him in the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, in a suicide incitement case. Besides, two others Nitish Sarda and Feroz Sheikh have also been granted bail. All the people will have to pay a bond of Rs 50,000. The court said that none of the accused would tamper with the evidence and would co-operate in the investigation. Goswami was arrested from his home on November 4 in connection with the 2018 interior designer's suicide, which he challenged in the Bombay High Court's decision not to grant interim relief. The Judicial Magistrate later remanded him and two other accused in judicial custody till November 18.
