(Sindh Tribune) : According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief has directed the Corps Commander Karachi to immediately investigate the matter and submit a report bringing all the facts to light.
It may be recalled that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had arrested Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General (DG) Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Faiz for besieging the house of Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh. A departmental inquiry has been demanded from Hamid.
Bilawal said that he was ashamed of what happened to Maryam Nawaz and Captain (R) Safdar yesterday and was not able to show his face.
He said that there was a spectacle when a slogan was raised on the mausoleum of Quaid. If Imran Khan himself used to go to the mausoleum of Quaid, such slogans would be chanted but no one tried to cut the FI.
Bilawal said that harassing and arresting the IG of the province in the early hours of the morning was a disgrace to him. The Chief Minister announced an investigation.
He said who were the people who surrounded the IG's house after 2 pm, who were the two people who took the IG to an unknown location.
The PPP chairman demanded that Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General ISI General Faiz Hameed investigate the incident.
