Peshawar madrassa bomb blast kills 7, injures 70.


 (Sindh Tribune) : A blast at a madrassa on Kohat Road in Peshawar's Dir Colony killed seven people and injured 70 others.

 Rescue sources said that 19 children studying in the madrassa were injured in the blast. As soon as the blast was reported, police, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the spot where rescue operations were underway. Police officials said.  As a result of the blast in the madrassa, 7 people were martyred while 70 people were injured. According to the officials of Rescue 1122, the condition of several injured children is critical. According to the officials of Lady Reading Hospital, 7 bodies have been brought to the hospital.  Authorities say 70 injured people have been brought to the hospital, while two of the children who arrived at the hospital are in critical condition.

 The blast was caused by a time bomb: Peshawar police

 According to Peshawar police, the blast was carried out by a time bomb while the explosives were brought to the madrassa in a bag. According to Peshawar police, the blast contained 4 to 5 kg of explosives.

 There was a general threat related to terrorism: IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
