The investigation also revealed that people who had TRP rating devices in their homes were paid to watch Republic TV. The police commissioner revealed that the poor and illiterate people who do not understand English, who could not speak English, were paid to watch only English Republic TV channels, whether they were at home or not. The Mumbai Police Commissioner said that there was information that the TRP was managed by paying money, in which the name of a company named Hansa has also come to light. The Hansa Company oversees BARC work. An employee of Hansa has been arrested. Mumbai Police Crime Branch team has claimed to have exposed the fraudulent TRP racket. Mumbai Police Commissioner Prambir Singh told a press conference on Thursday that after BARC complaint, the Crime Branch team found a fraudulent TRP racket in the investigation. Prambir Singh said that TRP was being manipulated by this racket. Singh said that a fictitious agenda was being run by him. Prambir Singh said that so far three news channels have come to light in this racket, in which there are two small Marathi news channels, one of which is Fakht Marathi and Box Cinema. Apart from them, the name of Republic TV has also come to the fore. The owners of the two Marathi channels were arrested on Thursday, Prambir Singh said. He said that if any other news channel is named in this regard, action will be taken against it. The Mumbai Police Commissioner said that there was information that the TRP was managed by paying money, in which the name of a company named Hansa has also come to light. The Hansa Company oversees Bark's work. Police Commissioner Prambir Singh said that the advertisers of these channels would be questioned. Republic TV's bank account will be checked. Funds received from advertisers will be scrutinized and may be frozen if anything objectionable occurs. Reacting to the matter, Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, said that Prambir Singh had made false allegations against Republic TV because we had raised questions about the investigation into the Shant Singh Rajput case. Republic TV will file a criminal defamation suit against him.
