(Sindh Tribune) : Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has termed the procedure of arrest of Captain (retd) Safdar in a case of desecration of Mazar-e-Quaid as wrong and said that some worrying issues have come to light on the issue of arrest which will be investigated.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the Sindh Chief Minister said that as the PDM meeting in Karachi on October 18 was becoming a success, the hunger of PTI members was increasing.
He said that what happened at Mazar-e-Quaid should not have happened but this is not the first time. Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have violated the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid several times in 2013 and 2018.
He said that PTI members, including a federal minister, were present at the police station from 6 pm to about 1 pm on October 18 and kept pressuring the police to file a case. He explained that what has happened is a matter for the magistrate and not for the police but despite this the elected people of PTI kept putting pressure on the police.
