Bollywood filed defamation suit against 2 news channels and their anchors, for making "derogatory" reports.

 Mumbai  About 38 film companies, including Karan Johar, Yash Raj, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, have filed a defamation suit against a news channel and four journalists for defaming the Indian film industry.  The case has been registered in the court.

 A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court against Republic TV's Arnab Goswami and Pradeep Bhandari and Times Now's famous faces Rahul Shivshankar and Navika Kumar.

 Shashant Singh Rajput's death came under Bollywood headlines during a drug test in Bollywood.

 In view of this, the media has been heard about the drug use revelations in the stars and thigh parties on the phones and the work of defaming has been done.

 Petition against Republic TV and Times Now

 The channel (Republic TV and Times Now) and social media platforms have been asked in the petition to "refrain from publishing and broadcasting insulting, irresponsible and regrettable material against Bollywood and its members."

 According to reports, it has been questioned that media hearings of film personalities should be stopped and interference in the privacy of the people of the industry should be avoided.

 It also said that the plaintiffs had complied with the rules of the program code under the Cable TV Network Act 1994 in order to recall and remove offensive material published against Bollywood.
