(Sindh Tribune) : Taking note, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that all state resources would be utilized to bring down the prices of food items next week while determining the reasons for the rise in prices.
He said that they were also assessing the impact of rising prices on Pakistan at the international level. We need to determine whether the increase in prices is not due to smuggling, hoarding or shortage of supplies.
The Prime Minister said that next week we will take action as per the strategy and reduce the prices.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan also took notice of the complaints of citizens on the high prices of goods in motorway rest areas.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, citizens had complained about the high prices of goods through the Citizen Portal, on which Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed anger over the high prices of groceries in the motorway rest areas.
|•• The Prime Minister directed to take stern action against the profiteers.
The Prime Minister's Delivery Unit sent a letter to the Ministry of Communications, NHA and IG Motorway. The Prime Minister's Office said that a special team should be appointed to monitor the prices of motorway rest areas and conduct regular raids on motorway rest areas day and night.
