Special Assistant for Information General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has resigned and will continue as Chairman CPEC Authority.

 (Sindh Tribune) : Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information, announced his resignation on Thursday in a program on a private TV channel.  Will keep working

 Shortly before the announcement on Thursday night, he issued a detailed explanation, calling journalist Ahmad Noorani's claims in the news "false."

 He confirmed the decision to step down as special assistant on the private TV channel Geo News, saying he would submit his resignation to the prime minister on Friday morning.

 He said that he has made this decision together with his family and he wants to focus on C-Pack project.
