On May 21, 2017, the daily hearing in the Special CBI Court Ayodhya case began. On May 8, 2020, the Supreme Court directed that the trial be completed in three months and set a date of August 31, 2020, but in view of the non-completion of the trial and the lockdown, the Supreme Court directed that the trial be concluded on September 30.
