FC opens fire, woman killed 17 injured at Pak-Afghan Chaman border Balochistan.


(Sindh Tribune) : A woman was killed and 17 others were injured in firing by Pakistani forces in the border town of Chaman in Balochistan.

 The forces opened fire as a result of a clash between sit-in participants of Pakistan-Afghan border chapter Dosti All Parties and Traders Alliance and Frontier Corps personnel.

 According to Levies officials, several women and children were knocked unconscious and about 17 others were injured and taken to hospital.

 More doctors and paramedics have been called to the hospital.

 Angry protesters smashed the gate at the border closure, while the barrier and forces checkpoint were set on fire.

 According to officials, thousands of passengers crossed the border into Afghanistan, while more troops have been called in due to the tense situation.
